Ils expédient quand ils disent qu'ils vont le faire, et la nouvelle commande prend environ dix secondes maintenant. Le service a été excellent.

Clinical questions

Answered.

Still unsure? A real specialist replies within one business day — ask us anything.

How does this 6-0 Poliglecaprone 25 suture perform?
It is an absorbable monofilament: roughly 50–60% of tensile strength at 7 days and full absorption by hydrolysis in about 91–119 days — ideal for subcuticular and soft-tissue closure.
Is it comparable to what I use now?
Spec-for-spec it matches Monocryl on material, tensile retention and needle geometry — most clinicians switch without changing a thing about their technique. Want proof first? We’ll send a free sample to test against your current suture.
What needle does it come with?
It’s swaged — no threading — with a P-1 needle, matched to this material and gauge. The monofilament construction keeps drag and memory low through the pass.
Is it sterile, and how long is the shelf life?
Yes — sealed sterile, single-use and lot-traceable, with a 4–5 year shelf life from purchase. We never ship short-dated stock.
How fast does it ship, and is there bulk pricing?
Order by 2 PM PST and in-stock boxes ship the same day from Vancouver, BC — most Canadian orders arrive in 2–4 business days, and orders over $1,250 ($850 USD) ship free. Mix sizes and needles across a case and volume tiers apply automatically.

Choose with confidence

Absorbable or non-absorbable?

The single most important call when you switch suture — here is the plain-English version.

Absorbable

Breaks down in the body over time. For internal tissue, ligation, anything you will not remove. Holds strength through the critical healing window, then absorbs cleanly.

Non-absorbable

Stays until removed — skin closure, tendons, anywhere lasting support matters. Reach for a nylon or polypropylene monofilament instead.

Monofilament vs braided

Monofilament glides through tissue with less drag and lower infection risk. Braided handles and knots more easily.

Reading the label

USP size (smaller number = thicker), needle code (FS / PF) and length. Our sizing chart maps every code to its use.

Why it performs

Holds through the healing window. Then it’s gone.
